About Me
I am always aspired to become a teacher. After teaching at public school of Nepal as a Teach for Nepal fellow for two years, I got to realize that until and unless we improve the educational infrastructure our country wouldn’t develop. With my robust experience and education in applying appropriate teaching and assessment methodologies and contributing to the design and development of objective and teaching material, I am prepared to become an immediate tutor for English Language and Literature , Social Science and Humanities.
I am skilled in employing a differentiated approach to provide a student-centered learning environment that encourages resourcefulness and critical thinking while promoting tolerance, respect and emotional security for a diverse student group. I can contribute towards the development of innovative instructional strategies, materials and methodologies to address varied student needs. I can ensure optimal utilization of a range of diagnostic assessments to closely monitor progress towards the achievement of curriculum goals and student performance objectives. I have in-depth and current subject matter knowledge including English language and literature from Primary to Bachelor level. Teaching in public school for two years I have found Nepal’s education system quite vague and difficult to implement practically. Teaching through action and students engagement is one of the skills that I can implement in my Classroom. I have found that kids learn fruitfully when they are involved. I too possess the skill of critical thinking adaptability. In today’s glamorized world it is necessary for young minds to think out of the box. I can facilitate students to posses the trait of thinking decisively. Moreover, I think that teaching children to empathize on others is the most productive forms of discipline which I have taught as well. I think when kid gets the essence and experiences of empathizing each other and oneself there teacher needn’t had to think about any forms of discipline. Empathy is required to a greater amount in today’s globalized and commercialized world. If students learn to display empathy they are disciplined already.
I personally feel that teaching is the noblest profession. What could be nobler than giving wisdom? Moreover, I love working with young generation. I got to learn, unlearn and re learn so much from them already. My teaching philosophy relies on making my students not only achieve better grade academically but also to make more empathetic human beings. From my previous teaching experience, I have realized that generating empathy in students is the best way to maintain discipline in today’s kids. My commitment to ensuring each student is provided with the capabilities necessary to become successful and contributing members of a dynamic community is evident in my availability to students and parents beyond the instructional day and my ongoing professional development activities relevant to the student population.
